hunting with mates

I was out hunting with mates, watching bush fold out beneath the land cruiser as we rumbled along the steep farm track. We reached were the track slipped out we turned the truck of and let the dogs out.The wind was strong blowing in our face.We walked about 50 odd yards down the hill before our main dog butch winded and ran of into the bush followed by bud and rip.We had sue on a rope ,after half a hour we all of sudden we heard a few distant barks and then seilenes the,gps tracker said that the dogs were chasing straight towards us .We started moving towards them when they broke into a bail, we ran down to the bail they had massie black and tan boar. sue ran in and hit like a ton of bricks the boar just flicked her off broke. Smashed through bracken right though charlie's legs flicked angus about 3 feet in the air, and ran into pig tunnel the dogs ran in and held it. So we had no choice but to go in there after a quick game of paper scissors rock, I lost, and I slowly walked towards the tunnel with encouragement by my mates ,you will be fine it's only a 2 tonna that will rip your guts out, shut up Hohepa I snap as I get on to my hands and knees and start crawling up the tunnel. to where the dogs are with the shortened 4/10.I snuck the tunnel the claustrophobic feeling all around me the manky boar smell wafting up my nostrils . I heard the desitive sound of a boar chomping his tusks. sue was lying on the ground as the others bailed around her.I quickly grabbed her and crawled out again put her to the side and went back in to the danger zone for the second time.I saw the pig for a split second boom I shot with the 4/10 he dropped I went towards the boar in the dim light he slowly staggered to his feet shook his head and flung butch off. He saw me and to my concern he was rapidly closing the gap.I turned and started crawling as fast and my 4 legged body would carry me.I was just about at the end of the tunnel when the boar caught up and finished the journey for me with a good flick of the head. he just came out of the tunnel boom the boar dropped. Everyone looked at me I shrugged just as I did that I saw a hand in front of my face that helped me get up. did I mention we were poaching, yip I just shot a 248 pound boar in front of the owner of the farm.
